Anima is a global cultural strategy and artist management agency rooted in Panjabi arts & culture and the hybrid, bicultural identity at its heart. We work with institutions seeking credible, strategic access to this culture and meaningful connection with South Asian and Panjabi audiences. And we manage a carefully selected cohort of artists with the depth, industry access, and long-term care their work demands.
Panjabi arts & culture doesn't live in one place. It lives in the third space — the hybrid, bicultural territory where South Asian heritage and contemporary life converge. This is where the most resonant creative work is being made. It is also where some of the most culturally engaged audiences in the world live. Institutions seeking access to this culture — and to these audiences — often lack the depth to do so meaningfully. Their investments are misallocated, their efforts fragmented. Anima exists to change that. Led by someone whose life and work has always lived in that third space, we name what is missing and build toward it — on both sides of the equation.

Harpo Mander is one of the foremost figures in Panjabi arts & culture globally — and one of the few practitioners whose life and work has always lived in the third space: the hybrid, bicultural territory where South Asian heritage and contemporary institutional life meet and where something new becomes possible. As Executive Director of 5X Festival — Vancouver's landmark South Asian arts and culture organization — she built one of the most significant platforms for emerging Panjabi artists in North America, forging international industry networks and creating pathwayswhere few existed. She subsequently served as Senior Manager for South Asian Music at Universal Music Canada, bringing that community-rooted perspective into one of the world's largest label systems. She chairs the JUNOS South Asian Recording of the Year category and leads with a rare combination of cultural fluency, institutional access, and deep community trust.

The culture won't wait. Neither should you.
